Street in Greenwich Village New York City where car was stolen

Freddy’s Note:
All of us that carry guns on a daily basis are asked the question many times.  The question is why do you carry a gun to: Blank.  I have been asked… You don’t need a gun to go:

  • Food Shopping
  • the Mall
  • to Church
  • Out to Dinner
  • Outside doing yard work on your own property
  • to Doctor’s Office
  • to Walmart
  • and every other place in the world except the Post Office and a Court House (You can’t carry there)

This series of continuing posts demonstrates the need to carry a gun can arise anywhere that you go. And it is always better to be prepared.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)

A Greenwich Village man clearing snow away from his truck Friday morning was carjacked in broad daylight, police announced.

The snow had stopped falling and it was dead quiet on Christopher Street when the incident occurred just after 9 a.m. There were much fewer people out than on a normal weekday because of the snow.

According to police, a building superintendent was shoveling snow next to his blue Dodge Ram when a man in his 20s appeared and pulled out a gun. He drove off without firing a shot, police said.

The super had the car running when the suspect approached, police said.

A man whose salon window faces the crime scene said he didn’t hear anything, Silverman reported.

“We keep the doors locked. I was sitting in here counting money, ironically enough,” Scott Smith said.

“That’s incredibly concerning,” said Christopher Street resident Adam Masry. “Even in the harshest of weather, I guess people are brazen.”

Police have been circling the historic West Village blocks, but have not yet tracked down the truck or the suspect on a day when it’s not easy to get anywhere fast.

Man Charged with Murder in Nazi NY Police State after killing a rapist

Image

Freddy’s Note: David Carlson, a 42-year-old father of three killed a rape suspect that was being chased by the police in woods near his house.  In Many states, David would be considered a hero.  But not in the NAZI Police State of New York.   Because New York state has no “Stand Your Ground Law”, David is now in jailed and is being charged with Murder. Fuck You New York. This man is a hero.

SPARROWBUSH, N.Y. (An Orange County man is behind bars on a murder charge after he allegedly shot a fugitive rape suspect near his family’s home Friday.

As CBS 2′s Lou Young reported exclusively, authorities said David Carlson, a 42-year-old father of three, admitted to killing Norris Acosta-Sanchez with his shotgun when the wanted man emerged from the woods after eluding police in Sparrowbush.
Carlson’s neighbors say everyone in the area was on edge during the police manhunt.

“We were really frightened staying there that night because the guy’s on the loose,” said Amy Mann. “The police lost him.”
Acosta-Sanchez, 35, had reportedly been staying in a vacant cabin near Carlson’s home on Old Plank Road. Police surrounded the cabin Thursday and broke down the door trying to make an arrest, but he wasn’t inside. Police searched the woods all day with heavily armed teams but didn’t find him.

Witness Carmine Ferrera spotted Acosta-Sanchez when Carlson already had his gun pointed at him. Because he’s scheduled to testify before a grand jury, Ferrera declined to provide specifics about what he saw, except to say: “I didn’t see a murder happen. That’s as far as I’m going to go.

“I can tell you the community was in fear. I can tell you Dave wasn’t the only one who armed himself.”
Carlson fired four shots, two of which struck Acosta-Sanchez, police said.

After the shooting, Carlson, a union contractor, gave a long interview to state police and admitted in hindsight he should have called 911, Young reported.

Carlson is charged with second-degree murder. He’s being held in jail on $250,000 bail.
Orange County District Attorney Frank Phillips characterized the incident as “a tragedy all the way around” but is prosecuting Carlson.

Under New York’s pro-criminal laws, Carlson was supposed to turn his back and flee into his home with a rapist in pursuit.Under New York’s pro-criminal laws, Carlson was supposed to turn his back and flee into his home with a rapist in pursuit.

The Next Gun Rights Assault

Image

Freddy’s Note: This is the slippery Slope Approach. Once in place, they they ad new classifications.  For example, if you think you need guns to protect you from the government, then you are paranoid an get put on the list. This is important, so i am reprinting this article from Jeff Know of the Firearms Coalition.

Rights advocates around the country need to be on the lookout for an insidious new tactic being launched by Mike Bloomberg and his mercenary minions. Their latest line of attack is mental health. This actually isn’t so much a new approach as a refocusing and turbo charging of an older plan.

The strategy is to use the wide acceptance of the idea that the mentally ill should not have access to firearms, as a front for prohibiting a broad array of “normal” people from possessing guns or ammunition. As with most things, the devil is in the details. What is mental illness? Who is mentally ill? How mentally ill must one be to warrant revocation of a fundamental human right? Who makes that determination? Who is “normal,” and how “normal” do they have to be to own guns?

Recently, one of Bloomberg’s pet politicians, Ralph Northam, whom Bloomberg spent over a million dollars to get elected as Lt. Governor of Virginia, spelled out the plan during a “gun violence” symposium. The event turned out to be a gun control meeting discussing a strategy of trickery and deception to get firearm restrictions passed through legislatures by hiding it in bills dealing with mental health. My friend Philip Van Cleave, the President of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, was at the meeting and reported that Northam was very candid about the plan and the sneak attack strategies for bypassing committees and public comment, and preventing rights groups from being able to mount opposition until it’s too late. He particularly lauded the Connecticut and New York models where both states used “emergency” legislation to pass draconian bills with no hearings, no committee votes, and no public input. He also discussed strategies to gain support from rights leaders by quietly negotiating deals to keep a bill “clean” and leave out overt anti-rights provisions, while concealing the provisions that seriously threaten rights.

It isn’t often that we hear anti-rights extremists openly admitting their true strategies and objectives. Someone has probably since suggested to Mr. Northam that the first rule in executing an effective, secret plan might be to not announce the details of the plan in advance. Thankfully that advice can only come too late because the cat’s out of the bag and rights advocates are mobilizing.

VCDL is taking a very smart approach to this challenge. They have already begun assembling a working group of mental health professionals and civil rights attorneys to review all mental health-related legislation and make recommendations. Other grass roots organizations will undoubtedly be following their example and seeking out knowledgeable assistance. The ACLU, a group, which has historically shown animosity or indifference towards the Second Amendment, is seriously concerned about threats to privacy, due process, and equal protection that often arise in mental health bills, and they could be an important ally in the coming fights.

While this anti-rights sneak attack is just getting underway, you can be sure it is well planned and well-funded, so expect to see a flood of bills dealing with mental health in general, and firearms access by the mentally ill in particular, introduced in Congress and state legislatures nationwide in the coming months. These bills will be promoted as “common sense,” but they will contain definitions so broad that hundreds of thousands – possibly millions – of regular folks who have been, or are being, successfully treated for common, minor, mental and emotional issues will be denied their right to arms as “mental defectives.” People suffering from mild depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, even women treated for PMS, could be lumped in with violent schizophrenics and the criminally insane.
In Connecticut, they banned firearm possession by anyone who voluntarily checks themselves into a mental health facility for any reason. While that ban is temporary for now, expect it to be incrementally increased in the future, just as the new law increased the duration of bans for people involuntarily committed. The result of the prohibition for voluntary commitments will undoubtedly be that some people who should remove themselves from the troubles of the outside world for a time to get needed help, will choose to forgo that option rather than be treated like a criminal. This is of particular concern for our returning veterans.

Rights advocates are going to have to be extremely diligent to catch the threats that are on the way. One advantage we have is the arrogance of our opponents. Just as Northam arrogantly described the sneaky plan – without anyone in the “legitimate” media taking note of the proposed chicanery – expect Mike Bloomberg to make his support for the bad bills rather obvious. An easy way to tell if any legislation is bad – or at least that it deserves extra scrutiny – will be support from Bloomberg and his various front organizations.
Liberty is a never-ending struggle. Be prepared to respond to these bills, and take action now to warn your elected representatives about the coming sneak attacks.

Warning for People Selling guns via Armslist or Gunbroker

Image

I sell a gun on Armslist.com or Gunbroker.com every now and then.  I actually tend to buy more via those websites then sell guns.

I currently have a AK on armslist. It has been up there for a month or two.  I set a high price on it because I just don’t want to sell it that much. I am still in Denmark, but I am getting my email, I get a email yesterday from a guy in Long Island NY.  He is willing to pay the high asking price and wants me to ship it to his Long Island NY FFL.

But wait, AK’s are not allowed in NY State since Governor ButtFace Cuomo rammed the NY Safe act through the NY State legislature.

I talk to a few other people who have been selling guns, and they got a similar email.  So this is either New York law enforcement, or some of Mayor Assface Bloomberg’s people, trying to trick out of state sellers into shipping guns into NY State. And they have a FFL in Long Island that is helping them.  You really have to be careful these days.  I personally am only willing to sell to people face to face if they have a State Carry Permit and driver’s license or we go through a local FFL.

Protest Planned Against Last-Minute Bloomberg Push for Mandatory Flu Vaccines

Is there anything Michael Bloomberg will not force on New Yorkers. Forcing all Kids to get the Flu Vaccines. How can he get away with trampling all over parents rights. He is not god, although he thinks he is. Going after our gun rights, parental rights, or right to have a Big Gulp, this man is out of control. This man needs to find a hobby and the stay out of American’s lives. Please hurry up and retire from the NY Major’s office and go back to what ever rock you crawled out from.

Politicker

Autism advocates are set to protest tomorrow against a quiet effort by Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration to require annual flu vaccinations for all New York City schoolchildren under 5 years of age.

On Wednesday, with just three weeks to go until he leaves office, Mr. Bloomberg’s controversial Board of Health is set to vote on new rules that would force children as young as six months old to be immunized each year before December 31 if they attend licensed day care or pre-school programs.
